The last year and a half have seen unprecedented changes in the world and few professions have felt it as acutely as the teaching and the medical fraternity. Right from adapting to online teaching to managing to keep their wits and smiles intact, even when they know they are not just teaching children but more often than not - entire families, teachers have risen to the occasion very well.

Indian Institute of Education Management (IIEM), salutes teachers who are true Edu-warriors in these challenging times. An organization that works for teachers, IIEM organized its first-ever Teachathon, a teaching marathon for teachers, organized by teachers in Oct 2020.
This year too, IIEM organized the second edition of Teachathon jointly with Hyderabad Sahodaya Schools Complex on Sep 17, 18, and 19, 2021, virtually. The theme of this year’s event is NEP 2020 – Policy to implementation.

The focus of Teachathon 2021 is to provide a platform for teachers to showcase their professional skills on a larger platform and learn from their counterparts across the country on how to implement NEP 2020. The challenges are on (i) critical thinking (ii) instructional design (iii) fostering creativity (iv) 360-degree assessment and (v) reporting based on sample data (provided by us). This platform will provide an opportunity for teachers to test and hone their skills which will help them transform into educators needed to teach 21st-century skills. The evaluation was done by an eminent jury of 25 educators with a collective experience of more than 500 years.

A series of webinars was scheduled as a pre-challenge orientation for teachers with the same theme - NEP 2020.
